Due to tear and wear, the two iron entrance doors at our church basement are badly in need of replacements at a cost of $6000. We now appeal to your generosity in support of this repair expenses. Archdiocese of Ottawa/Cornwall is running the "Answer the Call Benefit Gala" on 29 October, 2026 to bring together the faithful from across the Archdiocese to foster meaningful connections, while raising essential funds for the education and formation of our future priests. The event will be held at the Ottawa Conference & Event Centre and presale tickets are now available. Parishioners are encouraged to register for participation and render support. More details will be provided later.

5. 今天是本月第二个主日, 周神父将在弥撒中为所有在八月份庆祝生日的教友祝福。弥撒后将举行 potluck lunch, 共同庆祝生日, 欢迎大家踊跃参加！
Today being the 2nd Sunday in the month, Fr. Zhou would give blessings to parishioners having birthday in August. There will be potluck lunch to celebrate birthday after mass.
6. CSJ 青年同工诚邀各位教友填写问卷, 分享对堂区各项活动的兴趣及意见, 以便日后策划更符合教友需要的活动。
大家可通过 WhatsApp 群组 “Ottawa Sheng Shen Parish 渥太华圣神堂” 填写电子问卷, 也可在教堂入口处领取纸质问卷, 填写后交回堂区办公室。

CSJ Youth Workers invite parishioners to indicate their area of interest towards church programs by filling up a survey form, with the view to plan future activities that meet the needs of parishioners. The survey form can be completed via WhatApps Chat Group "Ottawa Sheng Shen Parish 渥太華聖神堂" OR pick up the form at the church entrance for return to the parish office.

7. 8月15日 (星期六) 是圣母蒙召升天瞻礼。周神父将于当天上午10时举行弥撒, 诚邀大家踊跃参与, 一同恭敬赞颂圣母。
Special Mass celebration will be held on Saturday 15 August, Feast of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 10 a.m. Please come and join together to pray and praise our blessed mother.

Salt + Light Media Presents: Leo from Chicago
Leo from Chicago, a documentary produced by the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See, offers an intimate look at the early life, family, vocation, and faith journey of Pope Leo XIV through rare archival footage and interviews with his family and close friends. Salt + Light Catholic Media Foundation will stream the documentary free of charge on Salt + Light Plus (slmedia.org/ch/slplus) beginning August 9, 2026, with Simplified Chinese subtitles, available for one month. Everyone is warmly invited to watch and share this inspiring documentary with family and friends.

- 失物待領處消息: 各位教友, 如有失去衣物, 請盡快到地庫禮堂認領。無人認領的衣物, 將被捐贈慈善機構或轉送有需要人士。
- 堂區現在停止接受教友捐贈傢具。教友如欲捐贈, 請轉交其他機構接收。
- 教友如欲為親友奉獻彌撒, 請預早向堂區辦事處登記, 截止登記日期為每週星期四中午。
- 我們歡迎朋友們參與慕道, 有興趣者請到堂區辦事處, 填寫表格, 和Peter Fan會面, 以便安排同行者和開始慕道。
- 慕道新程序: 有意慕道或再慕道者, 首先需與范浩泉執事晤談, 然後安排同行者協助他們皈依, 并透過參與堂區禮儀及其他活動, 與主及團體建立關係, 從而在生活行為上產生徹底的改變。
- 聖堂內須留意整潔, 不要飲食。彌撒後請幫忙收拾, 多謝合作。
